This collection weaves together my research on the omitted history of Black and Indigenous cowboys in Canada with an exploration of my Slovak heritage—grounding the work in local meaning and diasporic reconnection. The pieces contrast delicate and rugged by embedding lace motifs into discarded military fabrics.
